Robin is a native New Yorker residing on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. She has been a physical therapist for more than 30 years and is also a certified Pilates instructor. She earned her BS in Physical Therapy from SUNY Stony Brook in 1988 and her Master’s in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from Long Island University in 1991. In 2013, she earned a PhD in Movement Sciences from Seton Hall University, completing her doctoral research at the prestigious Leon Root Motion Analysis Laboratory at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

Early in her career, Robin spent more than 15 years at two of New York City’s leading orthopedic hospitals, Hospital for Special Surgery and Hospital for Joint Diseases. There, she worked alongside orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, rheumatologists, and physical therapists, gaining extensive experience in the treatment of orthopedic and movement-related conditions.

In 2003, Robin opened her own outpatient practice, Advantage Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy, where she treated a broad range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including spine and joint disorders, sports injuries, and patients recovering from orthopedic surgery.

Robin’s clinical experience spans orthopedic rehabilitation, balance and mobility, and fall prevention, with a strong emphasis on maintaining strength and function throughout the lifespan. She particularly enjoys working with older adults and helping them remain active and independent.

In 2015, Robin transitioned the practice to a home-based model, Advantage Physical & Occupational Therapy, bringing physical therapy directly to patients in their homes.

Her approach draws on her extensive orthopedic background, training in movement science, and experience in Pilates. Robin brings warmth and a distinctly down-to-earth style to her clinical work, with a sense of humor that is an integral part of her approach to patient care.
