Who We Are

Advantage Physical & Occupational Therapy PLLC is a locally owned, therapist-run practice based in New York City, dedicated to delivering personalized, one-on-one rehabilitation care in the comfort of your own home. We serve the Upper West Side and Washington Heights neighborhoods.
Unlike large corporate therapy providers, we take pride in offering highly individualized attention from experienced clinicians—each with over 30 years of hands-on expertise in physical and occupational therapy.
Every treatment plan is custom-designed around your specific goals, challenges, and lifestyle. We successfully treat a broad range of orthopedic and neurologic conditions, helping our patients move better, feel stronger, and maintain safe, independent living.

Meet the Founder
Robin Stoller Ph.D, P.T.
Robin is a native New Yorker residing on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. She has been a PT for over 30 years and more recently a certified Pilates instructor. She graduated from SUNY Stony Brook in 1988 with a BS in Physical Therapy and a Masters in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from Long Island University in 1991. Robin’s commitment to excellence led her to go on to earn a Ph.D in Movement Sciences from Seton Hall University in 2013. Her doctoral dissertation research was performed at the prestigious Leon Root Motion Analysis Lab at The Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC.
Early in her career, Robin compiled over 15 years of experience at two of NYC’s premier orthopedic hospitals, the Hospital for Special Surgery and the Hospital for Joint Diseases. Here she collaborated with NY’s top orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, rheumatologists and fellow physical therapists.
In 2003, Robin opened her own outpatient practice
Advantage Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy.
During this time, Robin developed a passion for working with older adults. Recognizing that seniors frequently are unable to make it to the clinic, Robin segued her practice into a home PT practice in 2015, Advantage Physical & Occupational Therapy. Here she is committed to providing the best standard of care in physical therapy.

Heidi Richter OTR/L
Heidi Richter earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Ithaca College in 2019, where she focused on adult rehabilitation and participated in research on injury prevention for manufacturing workers. Since graduating, she has worked extensively with older adults in their homes, with a strong focus on aging-in-place.
Heidi is passionate about fall prevention and providing personalized recommendations for home modifications to support safety and independence. Originally from New York’s Finger Lakes region, she enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, traveling, and quilting in her free time.
Heidi is an independent contractor in private practice.
Deidre Ann Johnson PT, LMT
Deidre Ann Johnson is a licensed physical therapist and massage therapist with over 25 years of experience delivering compassionate, results-driven care in the NYC area. She is the founder of The Wellness Hub, where she empowers women through wellness education and personalized care. Deidre holds a BS in Physical Therapy from SUNY Downstate and is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and Pilates instructor.Her clinical work spans orthopedic and geriatric care, with a focus on in-home therapy, ergonomic consulting, and injury prevention. Deidre is also an accomplished public speaker, writer, and a two-time National and World Champion powerlifter.
